HPI Resources Bhd’s subsidiary, Harta Packaging Industries (Perak) Sdn Bhd (Harta Perak) has launched its second plant, Harta Perak Plant 2 (HP2) at the Parit Buntar Industrial area.
HPI Resources Group Managing Director, Mr Chang Kee Soon said the second plant costing RM45 million is equipped with the newest state-of-the-art corrugated machine incorporating German web precision technologies and packaging machine.
He said the second plant would double HPI’s production capacity in the northern region to 66,000 tonnes annually from 36,000 tonnes at present. Chang said Harta Perak also manufactures slip sheets, a product that increases payload per container, and eliminates fumigation and pallet cost.
“A specialised vertical die cutting machine was imported from Japan to improve slip sheet dimension accuracy, ensuring the highest quality to our customers,” he said, adding the company would continue to remain steadfast in providing good services and product quality to customers while remaining harmonious with the environment.
“Moving forward, we have been building capacities across Malaysia and in Cambodia, at the same time churning out more innovative products to fulfil the evolving market demand,” he said.
HP1 is located less than one kilometre from HP2 and is equipped with state-of-the-art machines that are able to produce triple-wall corrugated boards or boxes used in solar, automotive, petrochemical and electronics industries, on top of the conventional single and double-wall corrugated sheet boards and boxes.
